Full Report
Our party gathered on a spring morning, with the mission of delivering a message to the last of the The Rainbow Knights [Players]. The one bearing all the rest of the colors in their White title. It was known that, for this one, we would need to sails the seas, so we procured a competent crew. Captain Seynomour and his crew accepted our proposition and we all ventured out of town; in need of a worthy vessel.
Black Beach was decided to be our next destination: a rumored port city in the hands of the Republic of Jagriarius, just on the southmost explored coast of the Continent. We stayed away from any of the goblinoids roaming the lands in our journey there, not willing to risk being discovered. We dodged some travelling parties, with their clunky constructs and machinery, until we reached the edge of the city proper.
After the Captain's familiar scouted the walled perimeter, we discussed our plan of action. "Borrowing" one of the smaller ships seemed the most reasonable one, given the circumstances. Giving the crew the ability to breathe underwater, and a meeting point near the port, we splitted up. Tarah, Russ, Aoife and I used the night's cover to shroud our way past the walls and across the city streets. Drawn by an unjustifiable curiosity, I made the party deviate from the agreed plan in order to witness the gruesome scene at the city centre. We saw robed locals attending beasts of obscene shape. Under the moonlight they grew and mutate, become even more alien and deformed. And we felt its presence. Something witnessed us, but we didn't stay to figure out what.
Boarding the ship proved as risky as I imagined. We found our target and regrouped with the crew, who started making preparations as stealthily as possible. However, a patrol was coming close. Tarah Nirimaya, foolishly although admittedly courageous, ran back towards the piers and played bait. Drawing the patrol off our scent and distracting them long enough for us to set sail. In the end, Tarah made it. She reached our ship before being caught, and we finally were free to make our escape.
The next days were almost peaceful, as we all enjoyed calm waters and the marvels of the New World's seas. Nothing lasts forever though, and we were soon ambushed by those dangers lurking in the depths. This one, of massive size, raised and wrapped its tentacles around the boat, as if to shink the whole thing with small effort. Thankfully, our response was swift and the creature was repelled. We hacked, and we slashed, and the tendrils went limp. Russ'Ruk seemed happy to add another trophy to his personal collection.
Finally, we spotted land. What was later revealed to be Caisleán Ridire appeared before our eyes: an archipelago that Tarah mapped but we had little time to explore. After passing by some of the local fey, we located the main proof of civilization in one of the islands, and disembarked to find a somewhat welcoming individuals, with moth-like wings and delicate speech. The Order of the Marble Moth let us join them on land. Acting as the islands' guardians, they knew of the Rainbow Knights.
To gain their favor, we accepted to help them with some domestic issues before we could meet the knight. We sought a fishmonger, who lost a valuable ring on the local waters. Monster-filled waters, we quickly realized, as we had to battle giant eels and a peculiar aberration of surprising intelligence. Focused on the lost trinket, we located it through magical means and retrieve it from their custodian's lair.
This seemed enough to prove ourselves trustful, so the White Knight. Although their expression was inscrutable, I believe our message was received well. I honestly did not know what to expect. Right there, our mission was finally complete. The message was delivered, the location of the Lost City revealed, and the knight seemed determined to reunite with their kind.
