The Following events will encompass the report of Arwen, Mechorn, Grisea, and Alena.
Upon meeting we organized and planned out a general path to the locations provided by scouts of the location of the landing stones, then we took a moment to prepare ourselves by accumulating possible supplies and equipment for the journey, before setting off west, over the Greyspine Mountains. The traversal was rather straight forward as we made it up the mountain swapping to winter clothing before truly beginning the climb.
The assent was rather simple and nothing of note happened. Upon reaching the summit though we were ousted and attacked by two harpies, both of which took advantage of their singing and their flying to a moderate effect and hindering us before we were able to move on, the fight showed some minor problems but nothing that the group was unable to handle.
Then traversing past and now down to the other side of the mountain we came across a peculiar situation: a oval shaped slab of rock. It was odd seeing it in the location so we would natural investigate but to our surprise it housed a elemental. Not wanting to attack due to it showing no hostilities we attempted to communicate with it via a spell it sort of worked but over a few moments we were able to communicate with it learning it was lost? or taken from wherever it was originally.
Using a item we had we convinced it to come with us and acquired a peculiar card one side was a gold kind of material sturdy yet flexible, and the other had a odd fish like creature standing with a human body and a bust of a head and the bottom of it had the word 'The Rakshasa' a Harrow card by fortune tellers it seems given by the elemental. the card itself meaning domination, mental control, and slavery.
Traveling down farther we then came across the boats and investigated, It seems they came on a ill prepared journey, we traveled along the shore running into a bugbear injured and down we conversed to learn the owners of a the boats were apparently part of some army, and upon hearing some voice came this way that Mechorn believes is the Taint
Notes directly from Mechorn:
"The Taint seems to be an ancient voice, at least according to the research Vhel compiled. Essentially, it is an god or god-like creature that corrupts mortals that agree to form a pact with it, often with physical changes. The dragons led an effort to seal the gods away and largely succeeded with at least one being sealed in the Moon. But now that the dragons are weaker and the other factions that may have stood with the entities are regaining their strength, the entity is making their move to try and break out of their prison. And unfortunately, the cracked moon is a testament to how a group of adventurers, perhaps under the influence of the Taint, broke one such seal already.”
regardless after healing him we pushed through the night to catch up and find the group and halting them and confronting them, but as they wanted to sacrifice one we halted them. The group was tired from the forced march of what seems to be several days so we only had the leader to deal with and the elementals he summoned we dealt with such and then confronted the leader."
