Arqueros, Blessed
Bulwark of the Heavenly Plane,
I was joined again
by Yimtakk Drivvnel Gartunk; quickly I feel his skills are becoming invaluable. Tak´asren, an
individual most accomplished with martial arts and Vitis Disidia, a being which I
struggle to comprehend at times but a most accomplished mage also joined.
Vitis' companion, Vike, seemed to be made of sterner stuff than their master.
Our second venture
to the mountains, in search of answers to remaining questions has simply left
me with more. We stumbled across the tribe of goblins, devastated by violence -
venturing further forth, back to the lighthouse that caused us such trouble last
time, we were faced with yet more signs of destruction and death.
Many Serpentfolk had
been slain, and while one still lived, we were forced to fight off vicious
beasts. I cannot describe them appropriately for before that day I had never
seen such horrific creatures, oh Golden Lord. They sprayed acid and had awful,
slavering maws - but with your divine aid, they were bested in combat. It was
then that our folly was revealed, as the Serpentfolk, in fleeing with us, was
torn apart by a larger specimen of the same creature. A truly awful sight.
The ghost was then
found, after we had recovered, in the same place as before. While earlier it
would have almost certainly been the death of us, this time Yimtakk's
preparation ensured that the being was dispatched with ease. The lighthouse
being broken into, Yimtakk's keen eye and quick cunning found him multiple
rewards. While it also triggered a number of defense golems, those posed few
issues to our party, as our chemistry in battle seemed marvellously fluid.
There is a deeper
story here that I am missing. I cannot piece together everything now, but
perhaps my companions have gleaned more than I. For now, oh Divine Guardian of
Good, I beg you to keep shielding myself and those I guard from harm. My spear
remains sharp, my shield unbroken and my vigilance on constant guard.
Your true servant,
Lysandros.
