Full Report

Here Neguth, writing report of our quest, I like this.

I wanted revenge on the Serpentfolk, they are too dangerous and gave me a beating the first time we met, I didn't like that.

Exploring the zone of conflict in Kobold lands, we encounter a First Landing camp and the woman who was the leader approached us. She said that they got a prisoner with info. Interesting, we go to speak with it. We met her inside a tent, a woman chained and hurt, I approached to help with her wounds, but a guard stops me to protect me. The prisoner reveals to be a serpentfolk with a magic disguise, we were deceived, I don't like that.

With the help of a translator we learn that the Serpentfolk is from a group that is being held prisoner by a more barbaric group of Serpentfolks and he wants help to rescue them. How can we trust him? Is he going to deceive us again? betray us? Backstab us? Reveal our camp location? We can't really trust him, but we have to do it for now, since according to him a more powerful danger could come our way if that barbaric group manages to succeed on their objective. The enemy of my enemy and that sort of thing.

We let the prisoner out the camp and follow him to where he guide us. He doesn't speak a lot of common, we don't speak his language, we do what we can with what we have. Sign language do a lot of the heavy lifting for the communication part. Not much time passes when an ambush of serpenfolk appears in front of us demanding that we surrender our prisoner, I really don't like that. Combat happens as anybody expects, lots of blows and lot of dead, luckily it was them who died. The prisoner seems to have a clash of opinions with our enemies. We emerge victorious, all enemies dead, I like that.

We patch our wounds, and I disguise myself as the cult leader we just killed while the prisoner disguises himself as a human prisoner, this plan has only failed me once so far, too bad that I also only have tried it one other time before. We reach a cave and in there we find a large group of undead serpentfolk, others ones alive that are caged in small prisons and a brute one mounted in a large scorpion. With the prisoner we approach to the leader, trying to deceive them while the rest of the party sneaks. We get close but he suspects something is wrong at the last second. Combat ensures, a lot of the undeads are baited with a succesfull ilusion from Tabor, I like that. Hard combat, but we won.

After releasing the prisoners everything becomes awkward. No one fully trust no one, but again we must go one, our prisoner says there is more danger ahead. We leave the rest of the prisoner resting, they don't see happy about that, they want to go with us. But they are too hurt and tired, that would be a problem. Our "Friend" convinces them to leave behind.

One last push, we found another group of undeads, this time with a extremely large and strong one, trying to break a giant metal door with dwarven symbols embedded in it. The leader directing all of this operation sees us and screams something about ascending or becoming immortal, who knows? I can't understand his language.
After our final fight and beating them, the Serpentfolk who stayed behind appears again, they were sneaky following us. After seeing everything is safe, they continue to try to unlock the giant door on their own methods.

The more... evil?? Serpentfolk are dealt with, the one we helped says they are going to stay. Our pact has ended now, hope he keeps his promise and doesn't divulge our camp location, so we leave. Wait, what was behind that giant door again?
