With nothing to be gained from the desert, the group is able to finally approach the Republic capital, where the gates are guarded by soldiers in steampunk armor. Upon hearing the name of Romolo Battaglini, the group is let in without a fuss, though they are given a few suspicious looks, one of the guards muttering about 'Damned fey...'(Goblin). With nothing left to do but walk on in, the group are immediately met with a sprawling city absolutely bustling with activity. Anyone in the group who asked would have been given directions to the Whispering King Inn, an inn that is usually reserved for soldiers and citizens of prestige. It resides in the wealthier districts of the city and tends to be well guarded due to the nature of its clientele.
