Laby was born within one of the metropolises of the Old World, child of a small middle class family. Living a respectable childhood, meaningful thanks to the great celebrations and competitions that were held in the capital, after finalising the essential education and given the choice to choose from any of the many schools, the maiden enlisted herself in the School of Discipline, a military and martial institution which often involved practicing as a hired body of the guard, bodyguard, etc, and during which she developed a deep bond with the divinities to which the competitions were dedicated to: the Divine Dare pantheon. And the gods answered back, bestowing her a gift of divine power.
After graduating and looking for other duties to fulfill and make herself a name, Laby discovered the Gate to the New World.
