Full Report

Upon hearing that there are more and more aberrations coming from a place called Jelly Jail we decided to get there and see if we can either stop them or just destroy the place altogether.
We took our steps into the Desert of Rydess more or less west-south from the Grave of the Sky. As mentioned, we did not know the exact location of the entrance, so our search was more or less blindfolded, still, we managed to find a big worm that exploded into small worms.
After almost a whole day of searching, more or less in good spirits, we decided to rest. That was when the real deal started to show a face. And it was not a pretty one.

An aberration came to our camp, calling itself Avourel Olahice, looking like somebody skinned alive but still able to move. We did have a problem with communication at first, as he was speaking in a language not know to us, yet, as he did know Dwarvish, we could converse.
He told us a story about the place we were searching, portraying the jailers to us as monsters that experiment on prisoners held there not for their crimes, but for who knows what type of experiments. And asked for our help. As he knew how to get inside, we decided that this was our best option. It did smell like a trap, but what else could we do?

Well, as we entered with his help and met the first prisoners, everything started to go sour. Yes, it was a trap. But one that did not get us in the end, for one of the jailers, not a jailer to be honest, rescued us and led us to something I could call a guard post. There, we got a more sensible picture - the "jailers" were more or less beings from far away, more or less a research expedition, that tried to heal the place and understand what it was in the first place. It was decided to work together to subdue one aberration of monstrous proportion and power, and after that, to get back home.

We did not solve the problem in the end, only stopped the symptoms for some time. And who knows when it will be a problem again.
