A Bargain With the Fair Folk, Grown on a Sunset Bough is a Unknown spirit bound to Zia, as the embodiment and representation of her deal with Lady Vesper. It resides within an extradimensional space inside the golden tattoo (shaped like an apple surrounded by a sun) on her cheek, and oversees its ward, ensuring that Zia acts according to the details of the bargain.
Finally, Attys stops playing with his food, and puts some elbow grease into his final pull. The black, silken bow-tie emerges. Attached to it is a long, jingling pendant made of dull, white gold. Beneath, a pure-white cravate, or a collar of a button-up shirt, with stark, geometric patterns. Only, there is no shirt, and no body at all. Instead, where you would expect a head, there is a succulent, yellow apple, gleaming as if made of the most resplendent gold. On top of it is a laurel wreath, its metal and plants entwined. Behind the collar is a pair of tiny wings, which are fluttering frantically. - Viktor |
With the help of Lord Attys, the Leshy was unraveled piece by piece, which allowed him to edit the wording of the deal, and remove some tricky fine print, before it was put back together. It also revealed the true, rotten nature and appearance of the Leshy. While most of the decay and the ill intent was purged, even now Sunset sometimes phases between its two forms, especially when agitated.
As Attys' finger moves, a glow follows, at first heavenly, then putrid. The gold dulls to a sickly green, the feathers fall off, revealing crooked bat wings underneath. The white cravate flakes off, replaced by matte black. You recognise these features, you glimpsed them before, when the apple blinked out of view and reformed. The critter seems to be fighting this change, shifting rapidly between its two forms. - Viktor |
Both this change and the initial acquisition of Sunset occured during A Profitable Society. Following these events, Zia elected to turn Sunset into her Familiar. It is easily annoyed, often unpleasant and rude (which is when it shifts to its decaying form), and impulsive, though it can be bribed by honey.
