Following reports of disturbances from the Kitsune camp, a party was formed. A group of battle-hungry warriors from Wu Shen were causing trouble for the Kitsune athletes by constantly challenging them to duels, hampering their preparations.
When we arrived, we weren't even able to exchange names with the first Kitsune we met before the Warriors arrived.
There were five of them, and they wanted to fight our client, Rihomi, who was clearly exhausted at that point. The five of us offered to be her replacement and we agreed on one-on-one duels.
Ultima fought a Tengu Swordsmaster, after which Tetsu fought a martial artist. Regina and I took on a whip-wielding elephant rider and Skipper faced an Earth Kineticist. After four bouts, the score was tied at 2-2.
Akhelios stepped up against their leader, Lian Cui, a dwarven woman with primal shape-shifting powers. She transformed into a T-Rex and landed several serious chomps. However, she was soon overwhelmed by Akhelios's polearm mastery. In a moment of desperation, she undid her T-Rex form in an attempt to restrain Akhelios with her Frog form. A fatal mistake as she was swiftly brought down afterwards.
We won! 3-2. And the Kitsune got a full day to prepare for their main event.
