Poppy and Melfira love nothing more than baking.
Always adorned in a flour-covered apron and a pair of oven mitts, Poppy is a tiny Melixie sprite. Her companion Melfira is an elegant, moth-like dragon. With her fluffy body, feathery antenna and beautiful fey wings, Melfira’s appearance differs greatly from her more menacing cousins. The pair make an excellent team, with Poppy’s seasoning skills and Melfira’s fairy-fire breath combining to make the tastiest of treats.
Once upon a time, Poppy and Melfira were well-respected bakers in the First World, invited to cater for all of the fanciest of feasts. However, the subtle magic that imbues all fey food makes it notoriously unpredictable, a lesson that the pair would learn too late. Disaster struck at a banquet for the Willow Queen, when an anxious Poppy mistook hag brew for unicorn tears, resulting in the creation of some shockingly volatile (and disgusting) sprite apple danishes. Chased by a mob of angry party guests – and the forces of an enraged Willow Queen – Poppy and Melfira were forced to flee the First World.
The pair have since sought out a new life in the New World, where they hope to one day set up a beautiful bakery. In the meantime, Poppy and Melfira have set up a little stall in First Landing, where they sell a variety of delicious (and hopefully harmless) baked goods.
