Kithaira is inspired by the nymph Echo from Greek myth.
Her name is derived from kithara, a stringed instrument similar to a lyre.
Kithaira is Signora Capriccia's sister.
Kithaira was the castellan of Rooster's Rest before their civilisation fell. She still haunts its halls, though being a Phantom, and not Unknown, she is not harmed by the vital light of the Tower of Glass in Cynosure.
Kithaira is unable to speak normally; instead, she can only echo the words uttered by others.
