SHIGEKO'S DOSSIER: This ronin's nickname
comes from a disfigurement he received from a tetsubo. He is a sullen, morose and
uncooperative man, much given to fits of
complaining and bitter speculation on
unpleasant futures.
His self pity is as irritating as his excuses - and he has many,
because he has much to be excused for. I have cuffed him for
selling sake without a license (he later admitted it was stolen) and
given him a public beating for being involved in a brawl in the
Licensed Quarter.
