SHlGEKO'S DOSSIER: Three of Sharp's employees
have exiled
for opium smuggling - the last one he gave up
voluntarily, mouthing sentiments about
wanting to "clean his house': but I suspect he
was simply making a pretense to save his own skin. He isa vassal
of Bayushi Korechika, who isa loud and belligerent defender
of his merchant interests.
Sharp owns a number of barges and specializes in moving
goods up and down the coast between the Scorpion domains and
the Crab lands. To complicate matters, he also has a legitimate
license to transport raw opium down the river for medicinal
purposes. I have pressured Yogo Osako not to renew his
license, but against my wishes she has done so.
