- We woke up in a musty tunnel, water dripping off in the distance.
- There's a squat dude with a large thing wrapped in cloth running at a clip away(he fast as fuck boiiiii)
- I can assume its the shield.
- A voice in the back of our heads said "You must reclaim me, this will lead to evil. Baldur's Gate will follow Elturel"
- Then woke up :O :O :O
- Unironically that's a shock because Sarari Cormrael and Sonie Silinihre don't sleep unless they choose to.
- We're in the flaming fist headquarters tucked politely into bed. Falaster Fisk is also here
- Decided to contact the Shadow Network to get Reya again, given we found her quarry.
- They told us to meet her same place the following dusk
- The Unknown is also here. Which is very important.
- Decided to go see Zodge to get his input sooner than later.
- He was asleep. We decided to rest.
- Zodge told us that there wasn't enough evidence told Tavius Kreeg, when we asked what gives.
- As we were telling him that Tavius gave us bad juju dreams, an important looking Flaming Fist member burst in. Flanked by two heavily armoured guards.
- Liara Porter is her name. Addressed by Commander.
- She said she eavesdropped on us. How DARE she.
- What she said lines up with what we dreamt. Powerful artifact that's bad news.
- She wants us to "independently" and coincidentally rob him and drop him off. Hinted at it with the subtlety of a whore in a convent.
- We agreed, naturally.
- We got disguises to go after Tavius, health potions, and a grappling hook.
- At Dusk we staked out the meat shop where we dropped off Reya. They flickered a light as a signal, and we went around back to enter.
- We went in and there was some trickery where we made our way through a dark and narrow hallway until it came out into a tunnel that met up in a hub.
- Reya was there with a torch in hand.
- She agreed to come with us because she has a few questions to ask him.
Session break.
- We're headed through the gate to the Upper City.
- Sonie Silinihre and Sarari Cormrael are acting as nobility while Vora and Reya act as our guards. Classic gambit.
- It worked. Vora looked proper convincing.
- We got to his safehouse, staked it out. Guarded.
- Sarari created a silent image of an assassin looking fellow in the sightline of a guard on the tower to distract him while the others climb over the wall.
- They yelled at the image, the distraction wouldn't last long so Sarari blinked over the wall quickly. The others clambered over quickly. We got inside.
- Sarari legendarily got a 25(+3) stealth and a 21 investigation. Hell yeah.
- One of two locked rooms was a bedroom that looked unused. So he didn't even stay here.
- The other one is a study.
- The study had an explosive fuckin' rune under the door. I exploded everyone. Reya and Sarari dodged taking 10, but Vora and Sonie took 21.
- Vora became gigabrain running off the adrenaline of getting herself exploded, found a map made by Tavius detailing where there's another underground thing. Back in the fucking Sewers with us.
- It's a musty tunnel, water dripping off in the distance...
- The same as our dream. Goddamnit.
- Footsteps in the distance. Hard to follow. Sonie manages to vaguely figure out where to go.
- Tavius Kreeg was at the end of the tunnel, looking wild and insane. Fraying at the edges.
- He tried to make Reya turn against us. Sarari basically convinced her otherwise.
- Sarari pulled out her macabre object (a spider made from sewn together flesh of her victims, and the fingers forming the legs) to learn his secret.
- He's planning to use the shield to drag Baldur's Gate to Avernus, the first layer of hell.
The session ended there.
