The AKM is a modernised, mass-produced version of the enigmatic AK-47 assault rifle in 7.62x39mm. It is the most iconic weapon of the mid-1960s next to the American M16. This rifle mixes classic Soviet reliability and modern firepower, and is highly sought after in Oceanyka. Beginning in 1962, the AKM began complementing the L1A1 Self-Loading Rifle as the standard combat rifle of the Oceanykan People's Army.
