The Southern Giant Hornet is one of Oceanyka's most annoying (or dangerous, depending on who you ask) insects. It is up to 16cm long, has a nasty bite, and its stinger's poison causes a strong rash on mammals. However, its cultural habits are even nastier. The hornet is known for its complex social groups, which enslave other insects to build their nests, and eat each other in times of famine.
