Snakefruit, named as such for its scaly exterior reminiscent of a snake's skin, grows on short yellowish trees in Oceanyka's temperate and semiarid regions. The interior of the fruit contains two to five slabs of edible pulp, each of which flavoured like a very sweet orange. Though very popular, snakefruit is very hard to grow under controlled conditions, and any sort of industry remains confined to the limits of its natural population.
