Unfortunately nuclear proliferation is one of Oceanyka's only serious problems due to the abundance of both highly experienced craftsmen and ample conflicts. The only type of nuclear weapon within the country is the gun-type uranium fission design, which is simple but inefficient. These devices have a yield from three to fifteen kilotons of TNT. Like chemical and biological weapons they are forbidden for storage or use by any faction that does not have a major seat in the Oceanykan Council. These factions have nuclear arsenals of various sizes, the largest being that of Cestlep with 12 bombs. Almost all world powers have announced to the Oceanykan Council that internal use will result in foreign intervention, while exterior use will warrant a nuclear response.
