Refers to weapons which store tension in an elastic material; upon release, a projectile is launched at high velocity.
Bows and similar weapons cannot suffer from malfunctions (see Reliability & Maintenace Rules).
For manual-powered bows (as opposed to crossbows), PEN is typically STR / 8. Round down.
There are different types of bows:
- Shortbows possess the Reflex Shot attribute, allowing their user to better react to sudden close movements.
- Longbows possess the Knightsbane attribute, massively buffing their armour penetration at close ranges.
- Crossbows possess the Surebolt attribute, giving their first shot a guaranteed hit.
