The F9F Cougar is an American swept-wing jet-powered naval fighter designed as a response to the Soviet MiG-15. It was introduced in 1952 and makes up much of America's reserve air fleet. Its most common model is the F9F-8, which improve low-speed flying and adds the capacity to fire AIM-9 Sidewinders. The aircraft is very nimble and well-armed, but it is slower than its Soviet contemporaries. It is one of the most popular jet fighters in Oceanyka, due to both its relative ease of acquisition and its ruggedness.
