The Bretagne-class is a French battleship design which was commissioned just before the Great War. Three were produced in total, though two were scuttled by the Germans following their victory over the Entente. The last surviving ship sailed towards Oceanyka, where its crew and itself were "adopted" by the Farenday Pirates. For a time, it absolutely dominated the coasts of the continent, raiding with impunity. The pirates reverse-engineered the design, and it was reproduced several times in some of the largest private shipyards available.
As a battleship, the Bretagne-class is supposed to whittle down the enemy fleet with broadside salvos of superheavy artillery fire. However, it must be protected from aerial and underwater attacks.
