Far after the Great Plague devastated Homo Erectus populations, and after the ecosystem had time to recover, Homo Sapiens arrived to Australia around 50,000 BCE. These populations would later become the Aboriginal peoples. Their arrival was harsh and brutal, but the land was fruitful, and so human populations thrived once more. Their hunter-gatherer lifestyle continued until the Neolithic Age.
