Krakening, or to be krakened, is a verb that describes a unique phenomena within Oceanyka. Oceanykan Giant Squids may sometimes, when starving or enraged, attack seaborne ships or boats. Though this is but an adventure for the crew of a gun destroyer, which is able to fend off such an attack with pure firepower, smaller boats' crews may quickly find their end in the beak of a giant squid.
