In 1956, the SS' paranormal division made an unbelievable breakthrough. Using a warpstone-based device smuggled by pro-Nazi elements in Oceanyka, they gained the power to open a predictable portal to what NATO and the Soviet Union know as "Planet Alice" through the theorised Congo Gate, whose location is unknown to these power. The area where they arrived has rich soil, good climate, and is largely unpopulated by humans or humanoids. On the other side, they founded the city of Germania, and almost all of their little remaining industrial, scientific and agricultural capacity was moved there. Rumours spread throughout Earth, fostering a great trek of exiled nazis and their sympathisers into this "new paradise". The population of this new Hyperborean Empire is largely made up of kidnapped white settlers from Africa, its leadership the little remaining NSDAP cadres and their descendants. Thousands of black Africans are also thought to inhabit the Aryan Empire, as slave labourers. Their new society is thought to be modelled on the city-state of Sparta, which SS leadership has traditionally admired over all other forms of human civilisation. Finally, it is believed that Heinrich Himmler has evacuated to this new land, crowning himself Heinrich VIII, ruling over it as a magocrat.
While SS security measures are top-notch, a joint German-Soviet infiltration mission succeeded in entering Hyperborea, gathering information, and escaping in 1963. This "Black Report" is the only source of physical evidence on the existence of Hyperborea and the Aryan Empire; all else is estimation, and since then, no infiltration missions have been successful.
