The Waffen SS is the main combat force of the SS. It is mainly tasked with annihilating competing armed groups, such as foreign intervention forces or local anti-colonial insurrections, as well as protecting the upper leadership of the SS. It is an experienced guerilla force with a surprising degree of mechanisation, though its membership is restricted to Europeans or European-descended persons.
