The M53 is a Swiss bullpup anti-materiel rifle chambered in a special Subsonic Cartridge variant of the vintage 13.2x92mmSR. It comes with an integral suppressor, 8x magnification scope and infrared sighting system, all proprietary and undetachable. This weapon was designed to combat enemy occupation through guerrilla actions in case The Swiss Confederation was ever invaded. Though unused for its original purpose, the M53 found itself a niche in the mercenary market and the special forces community. American MACV-SOG commandos are particularly fond of this weapon and employ it in the Vietnam War.
