The Thompson/Center Contender is an American single-shot break-action pistol introduced in the mid-1960s. The frame of the weapon itself is only a single-action trigger, toggleable for rimfire or centrefire. The magic of the Contender is in its easily changeable barrel, which allows it to fire practically any cartridge from any barrel length. While fairly popular with American hunters and sport shooters, Oceanykan survivalists have found enormous utility in its capacity to shoot any calibre under any circumstances.
