The M1928A1 Thompson is a military variant of the original M1921, replacing the frontal pistol grip for a straight wooden handguard and mounting points for a military sling. Hundreds of thousands were produced during the early period of WW2, before production shifted to the much cheaper M1A1 model.
This weapon is fully automatic, either inherently so or by the presence of a selective-fire mechanism.
