Throughout World War II, tungsten carbide cores were loaded unto hollowed solid shot, creating Armour-Piercing Composite Rigid. This type of ammunition was vastly better at penetrating armour than anything else at the time, but it was also extremely expensive. Due to advancements in machining and metalworking, APCR has become far cheaper, and a decent alternative to more modern shot.

When employing generic APCR shot:

  • Apply full DMG.
  • Increase PEN by +1.
  • Calculate no fragmentation.

As APCR Shot is Kinetic, it loses PEN over distance.

  • Point Blank Range - No penalty.
  • Close Range (≤10m / 2sq) -> No penalty.
  • Short Range (≤50m / 5sq) -> No penalty.
  • Average Range (≤200m / 10sq) -> No penalty.
  • Medium Range (≤500m / 20sq) -> -1 PEN
  • Long Range (≤1000m / 50sq) -> -2 PEN
  • Very Long Range (≤2000m) -> -3 PEN
  • Extreme Range (>2000m) -> -4 PEN
