Thomas Michael Hoare, better known as Mad Mike Hoare, is an Irish-South-African mercenary who became renowned in the mid-1960s for his exploits in the Congro Crisis. Following this conflict, he moved to Oceanyka with many of his comrades from the now defunct 5. Commando, founding Mad Mike's Wild Geese, a mercenary group made up largely of WW2 veterans and ex-special forces.
