Corroboree Meeting

A corroboree is simply a word used to describe meetings which may be within the same family, clan or tribe, or alternatively between two or more of these groups. Such meetings usually have great displays of cultural and religious expression; feasts, dance, music, rituals, gift exchanges or trade.

Many corroborees are spontaneous or planned some time in advance, but others may be organised every so often to commemorate an important date. Ferozen corroborees difer by the inclusion of gladiatorial tournaments, which are usually sportslike but may be to the death under some circumstances.
