The Nudelman N-37 is a Soviet 37mm autocannon designed by A.E. Nudelman during the 1940s, known for its effectiveness against both air and ground targets. It utilized a gas-operated, revolving barrel mechanism for firing, had a relatively high rate of fire and was capable of firing a wide array of shells depending on the intended target, though high-explosive rounds were the most common. The most famous use of the Nudelman N-37 is as the primary armament of early Cold War fighters such as the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 (Fagot), where this gun faced off against its American contemporaries.
