The Gewehr 98 is a German bolt-action rifle which served as its standard infantry rifle before, during and after the Weltkrieg. It is chambered in 7.92x57mm Mauser and feeds from a 5-round fixed magazine. This rifle accompanied millions of young men into the trenches and through Europe's revolutions, though it was also a commercial success abroad. Many Gewehr 98s can still be found in Oceanykan territory in working condition.
