The Socialist Republic of Finland is a Soviet satellite state located in the far north of Europe. It existed as an independent state until its invasion in the 1939 Winter War, after which it was incorporated into the Soviet sphere. Finland's leader is General-Secretary Taisto Sinisalo, a close friend of Moscow who follows the party line. The current Finnish government is keen on making Finland a country that develops and manufactures consumer electronics, considered by its economists to be the industry of the near future.
