Red Sea Alliance (RSA)

This organisation is defunct.

The Red Sea Alliance was a military coalition assembled in late 1940 as a response to the Eurasian invasion of the The United Arab Kingdom. It received financial, military, logistical, informational and diplomatic support from both the Kaiserliche Eisenpakt and the Allied Nations of North America (ANNA), and together with these two international coalitions, formed the original United Nations (UN), better known as the Allied Nations

The following nations integrated the Red Sea Alliance at its founding:

  • The United Arab Kingdom
  • The Ethiopian Empire
  • The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • The Republic of Sudan
  • The Republic of Somaliland
  • The Republic of Uganda

However, this alliance did not stand the test of time. In 1953, Sudan fell to internal de-colonialist movements, as did Somaliland in 1958 and Uganda in 1959. All of their succeeding regimes sought a political realignment and distanced themselves from both the Arabs and the Ethiopians. Additionally, Saudi Arabia was overthrown by Anwar al-Sadat, who established The Caliphate of Sadati Arabia and openly opposed the Red Sea Alliance. The final nail in the coffin was the Black Sand War, where the Hashemite dream was shattered forever.
