A trauma kit is a collection of emergency medical equipment designed to help paramedics and combat medics save those who have suffered from life-threatening damage, particularly thoracic wounds which threaten the patient's vital organs; the heart and lungs. For the former, immediate field surgery is required, and the heart must be either cauterised or sutured. For the latter, traumatic pneumothorax or haemothorax will inevitably occur, for which the medic must perform a thoracostomy to drain the lungs of either blood or air, then apply occlusive dressing. Besides occlusive dressing, scalpels, scissors, surgical suture and a catheter for thoracostomy, trauma kits also include alcohol, gloves, cannulas, smaller catheters for creating intravenous lines, saline and a number of types of gauze, including Israeli bandage.

Note that the Trauma Kit administers its effects as soon as it is the object of Use Item (1 AP) and consumes all remaining AP.
