Chloramphenicol is an extremely strong antibiotic agent used to treat extremely severe bacterial infections. Because of its severe side effects, particularly affectations to the bone marrow, including its suppression, alongside possible aplastic anaemia and leukaemia, it is seldom recommended. Additionally, because it was only recently discovered and put into production, it is much costlier than alternatives such as Penicillin. Chloramphenicol can, however, successfully destroy certain types of bacteria which cause Brainrot, making it a useful life-saving medication under very specific circumstances.
