The Outback Bow is the traditional weapon of the Nomads, those who inhabit Oceanyka's great and deserted Outback. It is a composite recurve bow designed to be durable, effective and short enough to be used on horseback. Aboriginal horse archery was far superior to that which the Ferozen would ever develop, a factor that many contemporary historians consider decisive in their survival following the Ferozen Invasion.

Recurve bows are the weapon of choice for the cavalryman. They are as effective as any other bow, with the added bonus of being short enough to be comfortably used even at a full gallop. In the Old World, many empires were built on the blood shed by these fearsome weapons.
