The Headhunter’s Longsword is a rare and terrifying derivative of the Edelian Longsword, forged for the singular purpose of assassinating enemy commanders. Its blade is made from extremely tough, flexible and sharp Bluemetal smith through now-lost techniques. These blades were issued exclusively to the Order of the Rainbow's Headhunters, an elite corps of duellist-executioners tasked with decapitating enemy command structures in the midst of battle.

Where the standard Edelian blade balances reach and strength, the Headhunter’s variant prioritises speed, precision, and resonance with its wielder’s skill. Its edge hums faintly when drawn, and in the hands of a trained Headhunter, it could find seams in armour as if guided by instinct. The blade’s bluemetal composition gives it a radiant azure hue under sunlight, a feature that became both its signature and its warning. Soldiers who saw a blue flash in the melee often broke ranks, fearing the unseen strike that followed.

Legends claim that a Headhunter needed but one thrust to end a battle. A single, surgical strike that could kill a general, disrupt the chain of command, and unravel entire armies. Few weapons in recorded history have inspired such dread, nor such reverence among swordmasters and collectors.
