Skoda 3.7 cm Infanteriegeschütz M.15

The 3.7cm Infanteriegeschütz M.15 is an Austro-Hungarian infantry support gun designed and produced by Skoda Works. It is designed to provide infantry with portable firepower and is adjusted to the realities of trench warfare, being equipped with a periscope that allows the crew to target enemy positions without exposing themselves. This design element was extremely important as the M.15 was envisioned to destroy machinegun bunkers and other hardened positions. It fires fixed, quick-firing 37x57mmR shells which were originally limited to shrapnel, tracer and high-explosive variants, but with the M.15s introduction to tank warfare, armour-piercing shot was eventually introduced.
