Formal Sciences is a Primary General Skill that denotes comfort with abstract and theoretical disciplines: mathematics, logic, and the systems of thought that underlie the quantitative world. A character with Formal Sciences training can reason through problems that have no physical analogue, working in the domain of pure symbol and structure.
While not particularly useful in and of itself, Formal Sciences is a prerequisite for a multitude of Secondary General Skills.
