7.62x51mm NATO, commercialised in the civilian market as .308 Winchester, is an American rifle cartridge, and the standardised Battle Rifle ⚡ cartridge of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). It was developed from .300 Savage to replace the aging .30-06 Springfield in American service and was later chosen as the alliance's official combat cartridge, in the interests of coalitional logistics.
Because it is a full-powered cartridge with a spitzer-type bullet, it typically does 3d6 DMG | 2 PEN.
