"Fortune favors the bold... and buys the next round!"
Overview:
The Gilded Wheel is a sprawling, three-storey inn and tavern in Ashkarin’s bustling heart, wedged between guildhalls and mercenary barracks. It is part watering hole, part shrine to Chance, the laughing trickster deity of fortune, mischief, and daring.
The cavernous common room boasts creaking rafters, stuffed monster heads (some barely recognizable under the dust), and an enormous Wheel of Fortune mounted on the wall, where daring souls may wager coin—or even quests—on a single spin.
Trophies of wild beasts and stranger foes line the walls: mementos of the tavern’s legendary proprietor, Nurlon Veylan, a retired half-elf adventurer who seems both older and wearier than the city's stones. His twin sister, Nalthra Veylan, runs Silverskein Jewels & Appraisal nearby and handles any gemstones lucky adventurers bring in.
