House Draco

While most Great Houses know that training and investing in armed forces is foolhardy as it attracts unwanted attention and most likely it will never be able to out-compete the famous The Sardaukar.

Nevertheless, the Draco family has a long history of warfare and is responsible for training a special forces regiment, called the White Serpents. These troops are specialized in both small scale conflicts and large scale warfare.

The last century wasn't kind on the Draco family, as their soldiers heavily declined in quality and numbers, as funds and resources became an increasing issue. Due to these circumstances, they lost their position at the Landsraad.

Things started to turn, as Marcus Draco, a sword master of Ginaz School, modernized and improved the fighting style of the White Dragons, making them viable again in the Imperium.

Learning from the mistakes of his predecessors, Marcus took charge of the planet.

As the planet went through one of it's most tumultuous year in recent memory, House Draco was a center piece of the conflict. They were infiltrated by Face Dancers, as the heir at the time was seduced by one wearing the face of Astrid Kairos which led to the entirety of the House falling.

Trying to use the might of the family, the master Kosh of the Bene Tleilax tried to take over the planet but was stopped by a resistance backed from the shadows by both the Bene Gesserit and the Spider, a powerful figure or group with deep ties to many powerful organizations.

A large war was fought that ended up leveling Yorrith to the ground and causing massive destruction across the planet's continent. In the end, the conflict was resolved as the resistance managed to win with support from many other parties.

In the aftermath it was discovered that most members at court in Castrum were already dead as the Face Dancers were either killed or disappeared in the chaos. Over the course of 5 years, by the grace of Daniel Aeolus the House was left to rebuild and to keep it's previous holdings. The remaining advisors at court took over and began rebuilding their forces, under the supervision of their new overlords.

One of the first controversial decisions Scott Aeolus took after taking over Lord Commander of Azhar was to elevate Julia, one of the few remaining White Serpent lieutenants to the new Draco house head. Some documents were found linking her to the previous family, as her father was the illegitimate son of Marcus Draco's own father.

For two years now she's been hard at work trying to rebuilt the House, both it's infrastructure, army and more importantly it's reputation.
