House Vodnik

A recent addition to the noble houses of Azhar, working underneath House Ruvinum the Vodniks are known for a their hard working nature and have risen to prominence due to the high quality machines that they produce. It's their harvesters that are used to gather the algae from the planetary ocean, as such much of the food exports depend on them.

With the death of Gregor Vodnik and his involvement in the assassination of Theos Orpheus it seemed that the writing was on the wall for the House. Put in charge was a young man, Alexi Vodnik. Mocked for his unwavering idealism and child like mentality, Vodnik for a short period of time became the laughing stock of Azhar.

No one expected the young Alexi to turn the situation so well. Becoming one of the war heroes against the Bene Tleilax, he distinguished himself several times during the fighting. His brave escape from Yorith, trying to rescue lord Orpheus, his command of the forces near the battle of Kelashin and his many other feats during the liberation of other cities.

Alexi gain the reputation of a terrifying duelist, rivaling Ginaz sword masters. His friendship with the current Lord Commander only deepen after the war, as the reputation of Vodnik skyrocketed. His marriage to a commoner also made waves, as she brought much needed stability to his court.

With the large amounts of wealth, Vodnik became pivotal to the rebuilding of industry on Azhar. Contrary to their ruler's reputation, the House is known for it's fishing machinery and large industry sectors. With the new investments Vodnik was able to expand in the years after the war into building and operating their own fish farms, trying to adjust to the changes in the ocean's ecosystem.

Another big development was the building of a naval fleet as many ships were reconditioned to be able to hold their own generators and turned into military transports.

The new jade fish meat has become a staple on Azhar, but plans are in the future to expand and begin mass exports across the universe.
