After the war most of the research facilities were destroyed, alongside with most of the projects inside. In the following years, under Daniel's administration the science laboratories and other research facilities were left neglected, as they served little to no economic purpose. The city was salvaged for any valuables and it's people were left to rebuilt.
Things changed for the better once Hades took over, 5 years after the war ended. The new administration began a new series of projects focused on altering certain fungi to create virulent poisons and turn them into powerful killing tools. This brought economic prosperity back to the region, as many local specialists were employed in newly made research centers.
