Port Krez is the easternmost town in the Lhazaar Principalities, situated on the island of Krag and looking out on endless miles of empty sea. Home to Cloudreavers, Port Krez is the antithesis of Regalport—everything one pictures when imagining a town run exclusively by and for the pleasure of pirates. Any vice can be indulged here, and the only regulations recognized in town are the laws of the sea. Mika’s folk take what they can and hold it as long as they can defend it.

From Port Krez, the Cloudreavers launch attacks on seagoing trading vessels, unprotected towns along the Khorvaire coast, and any ship unlucky enough to come out on the wrong side of the Gray Tide.

Home port to pirates of all callings, Port Krez is a lawless town where the strong prevail. While the harbor is deep, it is also home to enough shipwrecks that knowledgeable captains take extra care when coming into dock. Some of these shipwrecks even still have treasure, left untouched by pirates who would rather not expend effort to retrieve the gold only to meet a bloody end when they surface.

While the isle of Kreg is not without natural resources, Port Krez’s economy is primarily trade in quasi-legal at best goods. Unscrupulous merchants know that the violence and piracy of Port Krez drives away honest trade, meaning that Port Krez can sometimes be the cheapest market to acquire rare magic items.
