Duskwing Clan

Based out of southern Q’barra, the Duskwing clan is led by Elder Shedinn Tyagi Duskwing (he/him), a respected sorcerer and disciple of the Loredrake (Aureon). The uptick in Poison Dusk activity over the last decade has imperiled the geographically isolated Duskwing Clanhold. While the tides of violence surge across the jungle, it’s increasingly difficult to safely cross the territory claimed by the forces of Haka’torvhak. Currently, the warriors of the clan simply take this as a challenge—an opportunity to provoke the Poison Dusk and prove their mettle. However, if Masvirik’s forces were to significantly increase in strength, the Duskwing clan would likely find itself overrun. While in theory the clan has access to the sea, the dragonborn don’t have significant seafaring resources and would rather fight to their last breath than abandon their clanhold. 

The champion of the Duskwing clan is Arjhan Tyagi Duskwing (he/him), a disciple of the Passion’s Flame (the Fury). Arjhan wields the Duskblade, a longsword that enhances its wielder's arcane magic.

The Duskblade

Forged from concentrated starlight, the Duskblade's unique design helps it channel magic from the Ring of Siberys, and its surface reflects an inky, unknowable void. The Duskwing champions used the Duskblade both to defeat the hobgoblin warlord Mazaan the Cunning during the Arkhosian-Dhakaan wars and to slay the demon Garurt the Cleaver, who is now imprisoned below the Duskwing Clanhold.

Random Properties. The Duskblade has the following random properties.

  • 2 minor beneficial properties

  • 1 major beneficial property

  • 1 minor detrimental property

Touch of the Duskblade. You have advantage on spell attack rolls against targets within 5 feet.

Arcane Channeling. Whenever you hit an enemy with a weapon attack from this weapon, it has disadvantage on saving throws against spells you cast until the end of your next turn.

Destroying the Duskblade. Crafted out of starlight, the Duskblade can only be destroyed beyond the atmosphere of Eberron.
