Irontown

Count Jakab ir’Jakab governs the business friendly Irontown. A dense, dirty industrial settlement filled with refineries, few stop in the town for leisure. Here, lumber from the western forests meets iron from the Mror Holds to create steel that is exported for use in all forms of modern conveniences.

Cannith East

Since its founding, Irontown has had deep ties to House Cannith. House Cannith’s Fabricator’s Guild joined forces with Soranath smiths to innovate on steel production, leveraging a minor Fernian manifest zone to build the first structures of what would become Irontown. Viceroy Boros d’Cannith is the current head of production in the region and has garnered a reputation for a callous approach to worker safety.

While House Cannith technicians own the intellectual property rights to the refining processes used within Irontown and manufacture the arcane forges used by the refineries, the house directly owns very few of the refineries, which are instead owned and operated by private individuals.

Aurum Clubhouse

While the city of Lakeside is the preferred holiday destination in the region, the Aurum Clubhouse in Irontown remains a central meeting point for the affluent to hobnob. Despite its proximity to the Mror Holds, the Irontown chapter has no connections to the Platinum Concord; the highest-ranking member is Beatrix Mezei, a gold concordian with a controlling stake in a plurality of the town’s refining operations.

The Red Trout

A revolutionary hotbed, the Red Trout features live entertainment from the greatest fiddlers in the nation not tied to the performing crucibles of House Thuranni. Working class writers trade manifestos decrying the state of the nation, envisioning a better future for the people of Vasfold. For now, authorities believe the tavern to be harmless—full of blowhards who are all talk and no action. This belief persists despite the tavern’s historic ties to several of Vasfold’s (failed) revolutions, including the 957 uprising that elevated the ir’Jaranus family. Ezster Dobos (dwarf she/her) is a particularly influential writer whose intersectional works have gained distribution even beyond the borders of Karrnath.
