Lakeside

A premium resort with a five-story hotel, the Platinum Dragon in Lakeside is one of several locations in Khorvaire for House Ghallanda’s premium hospitality experience. While Karrnath’s well-to-do maintained secondary residences in the town, the rise of a middle class over the last two centuries led House Ghallanda to build services to accommodate the nouveau riche who profited off the post-lightning rail mercantile boom as well as the war itself.  

Between luxury boats and fishing operations, most residents of Lakeside have a tie to aquatic operations. Harbormaster Erik Kozma (dwarf he/him) is an affable elderly dwarf on the exterior but has secret ties to the Order of the Emerald Claw. He keeps a close eye on anything unusual brought onto the docks, especially if it might provide insight into the mystery of the lake bottom.

Lakeside’s Temple of the Sovereign Host features a large statue of Aureon the Lawbringer, depicting him as an elderly human man in traditional wizarding robes holding both a quarterstaff and an open tome. The duchy’s well-to-do sit in a segregated section for services; this provides a critical influence network between peers as well as an opportunity for lower nobility to connect with higher nobility. Patrik Mezei leads the congregation, a silver concordian with business interests within both Lakeside and Irontown.
